Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment in Galway is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to drive New Production Introduction (NPI) and implement manufacturing processes for volume production.

You will lead internal projects using project execution methodologies and GMP, communicate status, identify risks and mitigation plans, and contribute to audit readiness. A continuous improvement mindset and BOM support are essential.

Qualifications

  • Level 8 Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering qualification is required.
  • Demonstrable capacity to learn new manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Proficient in LEAN and Six Sigma tools and techniques; Green belt or equivalent level.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for New Production Introduction (NPI) implementing the manufacturing process for volume production.
  • Lead on internal manufacturing processes/projects using project execution methodologies and good manufacturing practices.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers informing on project status updates, identifying risks and mitigation plans.
  • Operate within the Quality Management system executing on GMP and support audit readiness.
  • Engage and champion a Continuous Improvement mindset across all metrics.
  • Assist Business development with the quotation process as required.
  • Maintain Bill of Materials and action customer change requests, updates and EOL scenarios.
  • Support re-layout of production floors as required.
