Job summary

OhioHealth Core Lab is seeking a dedicated phlebotomy technician for a night shift role. The position involves handling blood and body fluids, with focus on safety, accuracy, and patient care in a dynamic laboratory setting.

You will perform phlebotomy, process specimens, and support laboratory operations with LIS/e-Source systems, while contributing to a culture of safety and high reliability. The role requires 32 hours per week and is based on-site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy knowledge or experience preferred (6 months to 1 year).
• Able to communicate effectively with clinicians, staff, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy and specimen processing (70% varies by campus).
• Associated computer tasks (LIS, e-Source) at 15%.
• Train new employees and students (5%).
• Ensure regulatory compliance including safety standards and quality policies (5%).
• Maintain competencies and required education (ACE).
