Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha, NE is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect and preserve blood samples and other body fluids for analysis. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with an afternoon shift from 12:30pm to 9:00pm, and includes every other weekend and some holidays.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, maintaining specimen handling, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• ASCP certification or approved equivalent preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience and ability to perform venipuncture.

Responsibilities

• Collect and preserve blood samples for analysis.
• Perform basic dermal and venipuncture collection.
• Maintain compliance with PPE guidelines and documentation.
• Ensure accurate sample labeling and handling per procedures.
• Respond to requests with professionalism and timely communication.
• Participate in continuing education and training.
