Job summary

LotusWorks in Galway is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to support, troubleshoot and optimise production lines during night shifts. You will work with Manufacturing Engineers to standardise methods, design and document equipment changes, and drive preventative maintenance and continuous improvement efforts. Strong problem-solving and team collaboration are essential, with a STEM background.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience with injection moulding in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work night shift as required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Work with Manufacturing Engineers to develop, troubleshoot, standardise and improve production methods.
• Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment and changes.
• Interface with personnel and vendors during the above tasks.
• Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures in assigned area.
• Assist in implementing Continuous Improvement projects within the team.
• Yield management and trend analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Follow systematic root cause problem solving to resolve issues.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance and complete related records.
• Analyze and eliminate recurring equipment problems.
• Assist MEs in investigating and implementing new production methods and designs.
• Communicate environmental, health, safety concerns to management.
