Mechanical Technician – Manufacturing Client

CREGG are now hiring a Technician to work Evening Shift onsite with a leading multinational Medical Device company in Galway. Candidates with production line maintenance or strong mechanical/electrical background encouraged to apply!

About the role:

The successful candidate will work on the evening shift: 39hr week Monday-Friday 2.30pm-10.30pm. Opportunities to transfer to day shift after 12 months.

Requirements

• Strong Electro/Mechanical or Maintenance background with hands on equipment problem solving.
• Troubleshooting & Fault Finding Skills – Carry out scheduled & un-scheduled Preventative Maintenance.
• Yield Management – Ability to manage yield on an hour by hour basis and analyse trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, completing all associated paperwork and records.
• Communication skills. Ability to explain and communicate issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, troubleshooting, standardising and improving existing production methods and procedures.
• Assist MEs in investigating and implementing new production methods.
• Assist MEs in design methods, part sourcing and documentation.
