Job summary

Aoibhneas is seeking Night Support Workers to ensure safety and security for women and children in Domestic Abuse Support services. The role involves lone working at nights, weekends and bank holidays, with the 24-hour Refuge Helpline and emergency accommodation support.

You will liaise with Gardaí, social workers, housing bodies and health services, with pro-rata full-time contracts and a 30-hour weekly average.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year’s relevant work experience in a Social Care Setting.
• Knowledge and understanding of Domestic Violence and issues affecting women and children experiencing domestic violence.
• Third Level Qualification at degree level in social science, social care or related field.
• Liaising with Gardaí, social workers, housing bodies, and health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical supports, safety and security in lone working capacity at nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• Operate the 24-hour Refuge Helpline and provide emergency accommodation with emotional and practical supports to women and children experiencing domestic violence.
