Job summary

The iNUA Hotel Collection in Cork is seeking a Part Time Night Porter on a 12 month fixed term contract to support safety, security, and guest comfort during the evening and overnight hours. You will typically work around 2 shifts per week from 10:30pm to 7am.

Responsibilities include patrolling, assisting guests, operating the switchboard, preparing function rooms for events, and handling guest requests. Availability for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends, including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the hotel premises and guests by conducting routine patrols and monitoring security systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests by answering questions, addressing concerns, and fulfilling requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the lobby, public areas, and back-of-house areas as needed.
• Assist guests with luggage upon arrival and departure.
• Operate the switchboard and respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and professional way.
• Set up and prepare function rooms for breakfast or other events.
• Report any maintenance or security issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete all paperwork and logs accurately and efficiently.
