Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Network Development Engineer II in Ireland to design and implement next-generation LAN architecture for its global fulfillment network. You will work on self-healing automation, move away from vendor-locked designs, and enable scalable operations across thousands of sites.

You will apply EVPN, BGP, OSPF and commodity hardware with open protocols, partnering with security and operations teams to improve uptime and efficiency of the network in Amazon's expansive footprint.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience with major routing protocols (BGP/OSPF).
• Three or more years of experience with routing/switching hardware from Cisco and Juniper.
• Experience with network automation (Python) and designing secure, maintainable solutions.
• Ability to document clearly and work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex LAN switching and routing problems with scalable, testable designs.
• Develop automation for large-scale configuration and incident remediation.
• Lead design reviews, mentor teammates, and collaborate with stakeholders.
