Job summary

Unijobs, on behalf of BIM (Bord Iascaigh Mhara), seeks a Nautical & Digital Skills Instructor based in Castletownbere, Co. Cork. This temporary role involves delivering STCW-based safety and radio training, supporting digital upskilling, and acting as the BIM face to seafood industry stakeholders.

The role requires travel along Ireland’s west coast, with a 35-hour work week, and a contract initially of 6 months with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering maritime safety and radio training to industry personnel.
• Ability to develop online training content and deliver across BIM channels.
• Knowledge of DoT/MSO and ISO standards in training delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess nautical and radio training for seafood industry personnel.
• Organise course schedules and locations to meet local industry needs.
• Administer registrations, payments, and assessment records for courses.
