Job summary

Unijobs, on behalf of BIM, seeks a Nautical & Digital Skills Instructor to deliver safety and radio training to seafood industry personnel and students, with digital upskilling responsibilities. The role operates from Castletownbere, Co.

Cork, delivering courses via mobile units and BIM colleges as required. The position is 35 hours per week, temporary for 6 months with potential extension, and salaries range from €60,029 to €70,547.

Qualifications

• Deck Officer Certificate of Competency is required.
• Valid STCW Certificates are required.
• GOC (General Operator's Certificate) Radio Certificate is required.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver marine safety and radio training, including STCW modules and BIM courses.
• Organise course schedules and locations to meet local industry needs.
• Administer courses (registrations, payments, assessments) and maintain records.
• Develop and deliver online training content and support digital upskilling initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with DoT/MSO and ISO standards in course delivery.
• Represent BIM at events and liaise with seafood and maritime industry stakeholders.
