Colas Ireland is recruiting a Driver/General Operative who holds a full Ireland licence. This hands-on role combines driving between sites with physical maintenance duties, safety procedures, and operation of basic tools.

You must live within 30 minutes of Ennis due to emergency attendance deadlines. The package includes €16.60 per hour plus subsistence allowance, overtime premiums, a €1,400 winter standby allowance for gritting work, and a €4,160 on-call allowance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full Ireland driving licence and be willing to drive to multiple sites.
• Physical fitness to perform demanding manual tasks and maintenance work.
• Willingness to participate in standby rotas and emergency response duties 24/7/365.

Responsabilités

• Drive a range of vehicles as part of maintenance duties (including winter gritters).
• Carry out maintenance works on high-speed motorways and roads to a high standard.
• Perform grass and hedge cutting, drainage repairs, fence and barrier repairs, gully cleaning and tidy depots and network.
• Set up and operate traffic management systems as required.
• Complete records and paperwork in line with company procedures.
