Job summary

Mergon Group is seeking Production Operators to join the Castlepollard plant in Co. Westmeath on a temporary full-time basis. The role operates on a 4-cycle shift and includes day and night work, plus every second weekend.

You will help run production lines, perform packing, labeling, and quality checks while adhering to safety standards. Full training will be provided, with opportunities for career progression in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience is required.
• Injection/blow moulding experience is advantageous.
• Good level of English communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exposure to continuous improvement projects including Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
• Perform regular quality checks on products to ensure standards are met.
• Pack and label materials/products accurately for dispatch.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery and report issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with health and safety standards.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and use PPE at all times.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Vacancies – Production Operators 4 cycle shift

Mergon International currently have opportunities for Production Operators to join our team at the Castlepollard plant in Co. Westmeath. This is a temporary full-time role operating on a 4-cycle shift pattern, with the requirement to work both day and night shifts, as well as every second weekend.

As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines. You will be responsible for a range of activities, including packing, labelling, equipment monitoring, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
• Perform regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
• Pack and label materials/products accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify and report potential issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure safe working practices are followed at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Requirements

Candidates must have previous manufacturing experience. Previous injection moulding /blow moulding experience would be an advantage.

A good level of English communication and understanding is important.

Individuals must be able to work on their own as initiative as well as part of a team.

Exposure to continuous improvement projects including Six Sigma training while not essential is an advantage.

Full training will be provided.
