Our client, a precision-driven manufacturer operating in a regulated environment, is currently seeking an experienced Moulding Technician to join their growing production team. Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Set up, operate, and monitor injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform in‑process quality checks and adjust machine settings (temperature, pressure, cycle times) to ensure consistent output.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot production and machine‑related issues efficiently.
Quality & Compliance
- Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, cosmetic appearance, and material performance.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for any product non‑conformances.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal quality protocols.
Safety & Maintenance
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and report any equipment issues promptly.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with production supervisors, quality personnel, and maintenance teams to meet daily output targets.
- Communicate clearly on production status, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
- Take part in continuous improvement, lean initiatives, and technical training.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating or maintaining injection moulding machinery.
- Familiarity with moulding processes, materials, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong working knowledge of measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Willingness and flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
Desirable Qualifications
- Technical certification in Plastics Engineering, Toolmaking, or Manufacturing Technology.
- Experience with Engel, Arburg, Battenfeld, or Sumitomo Demag machinery.
- Exposure to robotic systems, automation, and lean manufacturing environments.
- Previous work experience in a medical device, plastics, or high‑precision manufacturing setting.
