Job summary

Aviva is seeking a skilled Motor Engineer to join the Claims team in Dublin or Galway. You will assess vehicle damage, review repair estimates, and help achieve fair, safe, and cost-effective outcomes for customers.

You will work with claims colleagues, repair networks, and suppliers to ensure repairs and settlements meet high standards. Ideal candidates have motor engineering qualifications or are working towards one, with knowledge of Audatex, Thatcham Escribe, and ADAS/EV tech.

Qualifications

• Experience in motor industry as a Motor Engineer, Vehicle Damage Assessor, Estimator or similar technical role.
• Recognised Motor Engineering qualification or working towards one (CIP advantageous).
• Good knowledge of Audatex, Thatcham Escribe, vehicle repair methods and ADAS/EV tech.
• Strong understanding of motor claims process and customer journey.

Responsibilities

• Deliver desktop vehicle damage assessments and claims support with high quality.
• Review repair methods and settlement decisions for safety and compliance.
• Guide claims colleagues, suppliers and repair networks on complex repairs.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost leakage and improve efficiency.
• Own technical queries and ensure governance-aligned decisions.
