SYS Mortgages in Ireland is seeking an experienced Mortgage Advisor to join our growing team. The role targets QFA-qualified professionals or those working towards QFA, ideally with 3–5 years' Irish mortgage experience.

You will manage the full mortgage journey for clients, supported by administration, focusing on compliant, high-quality advice and excellent client outcomes. A clear pathway for CPD and professional progression is offered.

Qualifications

• Provide regulated mortgage advice in line with Central Bank of Ireland and the Consumer Protection Code.
• Conduct detailed client fact-finds and affordability assessments.
• Advise on a broad range of mortgage products including first-time buyer, mover, switcher, and remortgage.
• Maintain accurate client records in line with AML, GDPR and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage mortgage applications from enquiry to drawdown.
• Keep up to date with regulatory, lender and market developments.
• Complete ongoing CPD to maintain QFA status.
• Achieve agreed sales and service targets while maintaining a customer-first approach.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Advisor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a QFA-qualified professional, or a candidate working towards QFA, ideally with 3-5 years' experience in the Irish mortgage market, who is passionate about helping clients achieve their home ownership goals while delivering compliant, high-quality advice.

You will manage the full mortgage journey for clients, from initial consultation through to loan drawdown, working with a wide range of lenders and stakeholders to ensure a smooth, professional experience. You will be supported by a dedicated administration team, allowing you to focus on advising clients and progressing cases efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide regulated mortgage advice in line with Central Bank of Ireland requirements and the Consumer Protection Code.
• Conduct detailed client fact-finds and affordability assessments.
• Advise on a broad range of mortgage products, including first-time buyer, mover, switcher, and re-mortgage solutions.
• Manage mortgage applications from enquiry to drawdown.
• Maintain accurate client records in line with AML, GDPR, and compliance standards.
• Achieve agreed sales and service targets while maintaining a customer-first approach.
• Keep up to date with regulatory, lender, and market developments.
• Complete ongoing CPD to maintain QFA status.

Our Ideal Candidate

• QFA qualified, working towards QFA, or APA qualified.
• 3-5 years' experience advising on mortgages within the Irish market. (Desirable)
• Strong knowledge of Irish mortgage products, lender criteria, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Professional, ethical, and client-focused in approach.
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating as part of a team.
• Experience in a brokerage or multi-lender environment. (Desirable)
• Knowledge of protection products (mortgage protection, life cover, income protection). (Desirable)
