Job summary

Sherpa Kids in Ireland offers Before School, After School, and Holiday Clubs programmes at schools, with on-site care designed to meet national-aged children’s needs. Our services provide structured daily activities, aiming to support families and deliver quality care.

The role involves supervising children during activities, assisting with homework, and leading a variety of planned indoor and outdoor activities with high energy and enthusiasm, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage).
• At least 2 written references checks are required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Assist with homework and educational tasks
• Engaging in a variety of planned activities (both indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
