Job summary

Vision Built, a Sisk Company, is recruiting an experienced Design Manager to lead design teams in a modular/MMC environment in Galway. The role focuses on maintaining design quality, coordinating with departments, and delivering clear, client-aligned design outputs.

The successful candidate will manage budgets, mentor staff, and drive a schedule that ensures timely production of structural drawings and designs, while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Tier 1/2 contracting, modular contracting or design consultancy.
• Proficient in Revit/AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend, host or coordinate department meetings.
• Ensure design work quality and compliance with directives.
• Collaborate with teams to achieve design goals.
• Meet client expectations and timelines.
• Delegate work and review completed outputs.
• Develop innovative designs and contextualize for team/client understanding.
• Monitor and analyse design budgets to keep them tenable.
• Mentor and guide team members and motivate them.
• Train teams on design developments and guidelines.
• Motivate and support internal and external design teams.
• Produce timely, high-quality structural drawings and designs.
• Assist in creating the design delivery schedule with stakeholders.
