Job summary

The Lunch Bag in North Dublin is looking for a Mobile Caretaker / Maintenance Technician to support our hot school meals programme across North Dublin. This is a full-time, field-based role suited to someone practical, reliable, and comfortable working independently.

You’ll travel between schools helping install, maintain, and support kitchen equipment used in our hot food service. You’ll receive training, a company vehicle, a fuel card, and opportunities to grow with a fast-growing Irish

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, caretaking, facilities, fitting or similar work is an advantage.
• Full and clean Irish driving licence is required.
• Ability to work independently while travelling between sites.
• Comfortable using basic tools and performing repairs.
• Reliable and well-organised with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess the best area in each school for oven placement.
• Prepare the area for its new purpose and safety compliance.
• Carry out basic maintenance and repairs on kitchen equipment.
• Install and position ovens and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues on-site and report outcomes.
