Job summary

Nua Healthcare Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Carlow, Ireland to support the maintenance team across our properties. The role focuses on completing repair orders, performing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Full Irish Driver’s Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Live our Mission, Vision and Values.
• Completes repair orders for general repairs as requested.
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
• Assigns with proper training and direction completion of preventative maintenance work or repairs.
• Completes all necessary reporting and documentation as required.
• Maintains property and equipment in a safe manner and ensures repairs meet manufacturer specs.
• Complies with safety/security rules and instructions in performing work.
• Participate in a rotational on-call system.

Job Objectives

The Role of a Maintenance Technician is to support the Maintenance Manager in the maintenance and safe upkeep of our various properties, completing repair orders for general repairs as requested within the allotted time frame.

This Will Include The Following On a Day-to-day Basis

• Completes repair orders for general repair as requested
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
• Assigns with proper training and direction completion of preventative maintenance work or repairs.
• Completes all necessary reporting and documentation as required.
• Ensures that property and equipment are maintained in a safe manner, and that all repairs are made as specified by manufacturer.
• Complies with company's safety / security rules and instructions in performing work efficiently.
• Participate in a rotational on call system.
