Bon Secours Health System Ireland seeks a Head of Mission to lead the integration of mission and values across the organization, guiding culture, spiritual care, ethics, education, formation, and rituals. This role drives leadership development, staff onboarding, and collaboration to embed Catholic health ministry principles in operations, governance, programs and performance evaluation.

Qualifications

• 4 year/Bachelors Degree in Theology or Religious Studies.
• Certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (if there is no separate Spiritual Care leader)
• 5-7 years of demonstrated leadership experience in a multi-state/multi-entity health care or not-for-profit organization.
• Strong working knowledge of Catholic theology, as outlined in CHA Competencies for Mission Leaders.
• Strong working knowledge of the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
• Graduate Degree (Masters) in Theology or Religious Studies.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates Mission Integration leadership through teaching, promoting, and monitoring the mission and values of Bon Secours Mercy Health.
• Provides a visible mission presence to leaders and staff and collaborates to develop organizational culture.
• Participates in onboarding of Associates and Medical Staff using the Mission Integration Charter.
• Supports and advances a culture of organizational spirituality and healing.
• Orients new managers to clinical and organizational ethics; oversees spiritual care services.
• Performs administrative and management functions including staff work assignment, workloads, and performance management.
