Job summary

PA Consulting in Ireland is looking for a Mid-Level Industrial Designer to join our Wicklow studio. You will help design and develop consumer electronics and related devices for mass production while researching insights to inspire solutions.

You'll craft compelling design narratives, present to clients, and create concepts across industries. A strong aesthetic, user-centric mindset and collaboration with teams are essential for delivering world-class results.

Qualifications

• Excellent portfolio of industrial design showing skills, thinking and methodology.
• Ideally 2 years professional experience in design consultancy/agency.
• Fluent hand sketching and craft modelling.
• Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail.
• Empathetic to user needs and behaviours.
• Thorough understanding of 3D design; skilled with Rhino, SolidWorks and KeyShot.
• Proficiency across design tools (Miro, Figma, Adobe Suite, Teams).
• Experience tuning into brand values and storytelling.
• Experience with consumer/healthcare brands is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Industrial Designer to join our fantastic team of researchers, designers, engineers, and prototypers at our studio in Co. Wicklow, Ireland to help create future products for some of the world’s most exciting consumer, professional and healthcare brands. PA’s Irish studio is located in the beautiful surroundings of Co. Wicklow – ‘the Garden of Ireland’ – known for hiking, cycling, trail running and other outdoor activities. The office is five minutes from Bray’s seafront where people enjoy walks, sea swimming, surfing, cafes, and restaurants, and 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre, for those looking for more vibrant evenings, weekends and nightlife.

Qualifications

• Excellent portfolio of industrial design experience showcasing your skills, thinking, and methodology
• Ideally 2 years professional experience in design consultancy/agency
• Fluent and confident with hand sketching and craft modelling
• Exceptional aesthetic sensibility
• Empathetic to user needs, motivations, and behaviours
• Thorough understanding of three‑dimensional design and skilled with Rhino/Solid Works and Keyshot (or similar).
• Proficiency across multiple design tools you will use in projects (e.g. Miro, Figma, Adobe Creative suite, Teams etc.)
• Experienced at tuning in to brand values and crafting compelling stories
• Experience working with consumer and healthcare brands is a positive but not essential
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong ability to articulate and convince others of your ideas and strategies
• Solid understanding of industry trends and advancements in design and creativity
• Good understanding of engineering and manufacturing requirements
• Knowledgeable and passionate about emerging technologies (AI, Machine learning, Generative AI, XR, etc.) and its impact on design solutions.
