We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior-Level Industrial Designer to join our fantastic team of researchers, designers, engineers, and prototypers at our studio in Co. Wicklow, Ireland to lead client accounts and internal teams, create future products and experiences for some of the world’s most exciting consumer brands.
Suitable applicants will be experienced in managing client relationships, leading design and innovation teams, creating proposals, and quoting new business. You will join a team who is passionate about delivering meaningful design solutions that help our clients create world‑leading, best‑selling products and experiences.
You will:
- Lead projects and advise clients in bringing new products and experiences to life
- Build strong client relationships for key accounts to deliver great work and identify new business opportunities
- Write proposals and pitch to clients alongside the team
- Lead teams to design and develop consumer electronics and similar devices for mass production
- Build compelling design narratives that convey the brand and audience you are designing for
- Provide creative direction and guidance to research, design and delivery teams
- Think and act strategically and guide our clients with compelling solutions
- Possess a strong aesthetic sensibility and a great eye for detail
- Design holistic user experiences
- Have a sustainability mindset when developing new concept ideas
- Continually hone your creative, technical and communication skills
- Collaborate with an open mind with colleagues and clients
- Lead with creativity and act with urgency
- Drive to design at the highest level for our clients and their customers
Qualifications
- Excellent portfolio of industrial design experiences showcasing your skills, thinking, and methodology
- Minimum 3 years professional experience (ideally in consultancy but not essential)
- Fluent and confident with hand sketching and craft modelling
- Exceptional aesthetic sensibility
- Empathetic to user needs, motivations, and behaviours
- Thorough understanding of three‑dimensional design and skilled with Rhino/Solid Works and Keyshot (or similar)
- Proficiency across multiple design tools you will use in projects (e.g. Miro, Figma, Adobe Creative suite, Teams etc.)
- Experienced at tuning into brand values and crafting compelling stories
- Experience working with consumer and healthcare brands is a positive but not essential
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong ability to articulate and convince others of your ideas and strategies
- Solid understanding of industry trends and advancements in design and creativity
- Good understanding of engineering and manufacturing requirements
- Knowledgeable and passionate about emerging technologies (AI, Machine learning, Generative AI, XR, etc.) and its impact on design solutions.
