Job summary

IOM Ireland conducts social work and MHPSS services for international protection applicants hosted in transit accommodation in Ireland. The role supports project activities, including social work services, community engagement, and coordination with senior managers and other team members.

The incumbent will conduct MHPSS assessments, organize group sessions, and provide direct assistance to the most vulnerable individuals and families, ensuring access to protection services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or Social Work, with minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in social and protection activities is advantageous.
• Strong communication and writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in implementing project activities related to social work matters and services to international protection applicants.
• Organize sensitization, information and problem-solving sessions for the community.
• Coordinate with team to include vulnerable cases in community-based activities.
• Prepare documentation and outreach messaging with Cultural Mediators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
