Job summary

CREGG are looking for Machine Operatives for full time, long term work in Oranmore, Co. Galway. You will operate and set up workshop tools, fabricate components, and ensure quality.

Candidates should have at least 1 year in engineering, good hand-eye coordination, and be comfortable with health and safety standards. The role offers 43 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 07:00–17:00, with a 16.63€ per hour rate and potential for permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in engineering or mechanical environment (min 1 year).
• Good knowledge of machines, tools and setup procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up workshop tools such as press brakes, guillotines, plasma cutters, and saws.
• Fabricate and assemble steel components according to technical drawings.
• Inspect finished components for accuracy and defect-free quality.
• Perform daily maintenance on machinery and adhere to health and safety rules.
• Load/unload materials using overhead cranes or hoists and document production logs.
