Job summary

PJ Hegarty is seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to lead the coordination of MEP services on a major project with a Main Contractor. The role requires strong BIM navigation skills, excellent communication, and robust planning abilities.

The candidate should have 3–5 years in a similar role, proficient IT skills, and the ability to manage design teams and subcontractors effectively while adhering to project schedules.

Qualifications

• A relevant third-level or professional qualification is required.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar MEP coordination role.
• Excellent IT skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to navigate BIM models and extract information for coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with good planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of the MEP services on the project.
• Engage in pre-construction, planning, construction, testing, commissioning and verification.
• Coordinate design team information and technical submittals per project schedule.
• Track information flow between design team and specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure the MEP deliverables are implemented on site and align with specs.
• Chair coordination meetings with all MEP contractors and track changes.
• Provide weekly progress updates to project teams and stakeholders.
• Assist in producing and uploading BCAR and safety documentation.
