Job summary

Elusav Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior MEP Commercial Manager for a respected Tier 1 Irish contractor based in Dublin. The role oversees the commercial management of MEP packages from procurement through delivery and final account.

You will lead valuations, cash flow, cost management, subcontract procurement, and contract matters while coaching contract surveyors and junior staff on the team. This is a senior, site-based position requiring extensive experience in construction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial management for construction projects.
• Experience with main contractor projects in civil/infrastructure.
• Chartered or working towards chartership with SCS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, interim, and final valuations and payments.
• Manage cash flow and cost reporting for contracts.
• Procure sub-contracts with Procurement Manager.
• Review contract documents for anomalies.
• Agree interim and final valuation dates with client representatives.
• Prepare take-offs for estimating, procurement, and planning.
• Prepare final accounts for completed works and settlements.
• Coach contract surveyors and junior staff.

Elusav Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a MEP Commercial Manager with one of Ireland’s most respected and long-standing Tier 1 construction contractors joining their growing MEP Business Unit in Dublin.

This is a senior position with responsibility for the commercial management of MEP packages from procurement through delivery and final account. You would be heavily involved in valuations, cash flow and cost management, subcontract procurement, contractual matters and final accounts, while also managing and developing QSs within the team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, interim, and final valuations, applications for payment, reconciliations of valuations and costs, and amounts for contracts, sub-contractors, specialists, and suppliers.
• Provide necessary information to enable accurate and regular review of cash flow and contract positions.
• In conjunction with the Procurement Manager, place sub-contracts on work under their control, where required.
• Conduct detailed examination of contract documents and highlight any anomalies.
• Prepare, submit, and agree interim and final valuation dates with client representatives.
• Prepare all necessary take-offs in advance of requirements from the Estimating, Procurement, and Planning departments.
• Prepare contract final accounts for each completed section of the works, including all adjustments, and submit and agree with client representatives.
• Carefully record all details involving contractual delays.
• Manage and coach contract surveyors, assistant surveyors, and junior surveyors reporting to them.

Requirements:

• 10+ years’ experience, preferably with a main contractor.
• Previous project experience in construction/civil engineering / infrastructure.
• Chartered or working towards chartership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCS).
