Job summary

Glanua Limited is seeking a Design Manager to lead MEICA-based projects from initiation through commissioning. You will manage a multi-disciplinary team, ensure on-site safety and sustainability standards, and liaise with clients and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires a Level 8 honours degree in a relevant field, 2–3 years in a similar role, and strong organisational and communication skills. The position is based on-site in Loughrea, Co.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a similar role, preferably water/wastewater.
• Level 8 honours degree as specified.
• Safety Regulations 2013 knowledge; Constructing safety certificates preferred.
• Experience with MEICA, process systems, electrical installations, commissioning.
• Ability to negotiate with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proficient in MS Project and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects as part of a team with a 'one team' ethos.
• Ensure HSQE standards on-site are followed.
• Collaborate with clients, client reps and third parties.
• Lead MEICA scope of works and coordinate disciplines.
• Coordinate PSDP duties and act as PSCS on sites.
• Apply Lean Construction and Last Planner techniques.
• Monitor risk, opportunities, and performance against programme and budget.
• Oversee procurement and subcontracting and manage cashflow.
• Provide training and development plans for the team.
• Assist with tendering opportunities and address client feedback.
• Keep CPD up-to-date with latest standards and technology.
