Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring a Medical Physicist for a hospital-based role in Dublin. The position is on-site with permanent, full-time terms.

You will contribute to Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic X-ray services, support therapeutic and diagnostic radioisotope applications, and lead quality assurance across imaging equipment. Ideal candidates hold an Honours Degree in Physics along with a postgraduate Medical Physics qualification (MSc/PhD).

Qualifications

• Honours Degree in Physics required.
• Postgraduate qualification in Medical Physics (MSc or PhD).
• Eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body such as IAPM.
• Desirable: experience in Diagnostic Imaging.
• Desirable: experience in Nuclear Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the scientific management of Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic X-ray services.
• Provide support for the therapeutic and diagnostic applications of radioisotopes within radiological services.
• Support development and implementation of QA programmes for imaging equipment.
• Perform measurement, analysis and interpretation of QA data.
• Provide scientific and technical support to radiology service areas.
• Participate in safe management and operation of imaging equipment.
• Assist in equipment faults identification and action.
• Support commissioning and acceptance of new Radiology equipment.
• Plan and deliver in-house education and training for hospital staff.
• Engage in CPD activities and develop Medical Physics services.
• Support new Medical Physics services and initiatives.
