Job summary
Beacon Hospital in Dublin seeks a Medical Physicist to provide scientific and technical support within the Radiology Department, ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective physics services across Nuclear Medicine, X-ray QA, and MRI support. The role requires an honours degree in physics with a postgraduate qualification in medical physics (MSc/PhD).
Experience in diagnostic imaging or Nuclear Medicine is preferred.
Qualifications
- Requires an Honours degree in Physics and a postgraduate qualification in Medical Physics (MSc/PhD) or equivalent
- Experience in diagnostic imaging and/or Nuclear Medicine preferred
- Aptitude for problem solving and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment
Responsibilities
- Provide scientific and technical support to Radiology services
- Contribute to Nuclear Medicine, X-ray QA, and MRI-related activities
- Ensure safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness of physics services
- Engage in staff education and CPD activities
- Assist with commissioning of new imaging equipment
- Support management of imaging safety and service delivery
