Breagh Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for mechanical services based in Mayo. You will oversee commercial management from procurement to final account, working with project teams to control costs, valuations and variations.

The role focuses on cost reporting, subcontractor accounts and timely commercial forecasting, with opportunities to influence margins across Irish projects and ongoing pipeline.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, engineering or building services.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, valuations, variations and subcontractor accounts.
• Experience managing commercial documentation and project reporting.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and contractual requirements of mechanical services projects.
• Prepare project budgets, cost reports and commercial forecasts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, quotations and commercial comparisons.
• Prepare and submit interim valuations and payment applications.
• Identify, price and manage project variations.
• Monitor costs against budgets and report on commercial performance.
• Manage subcontractor payments, accounts and final account negotiations.
• Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to track progress and project costs.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and contractual documentation.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and cost value reconciliation.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.
• Support the agreement and close out of final accounts.
