Job summary

AMF Consulting is partnering with a leading construction company to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Mayo-based team. You will manage project costs from inception to final account across a range of projects, delivering accurate reporting and cost control.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc or equivalent).
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and project cost management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Professional attitude with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage cost estimates, measurements, valuations and agreements for work sections.
• Prepare and submit client valuations.
• Complete project cost reconciliations through to final account.
• Produce project cost reports and variation logs.
• Prepare monthly interim valuations.
• Manage subcontractor measurements, valuations and final account payments.
• Monitor and report on project costs to senior management.
• Price and manage contract variations.
• Assist with estimating and tendering for new projects.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing project costs from inception through to final account. Working closely with project teams, you will ensure commercial performance is maintained while delivering accurate reporting and cost control.
