Job summary

Designer Group in Ireland seeks a Mechanical Project Manager for a major project in Littleconnell, Co. Kildare. You’ll lead site teams, drive delivery on time and budget, and ensure safety and quality standards. The role demands strong leadership, commercial acumen and excellent communication with design teams and clients.

You’ll coordinate procurement, report progress weekly, manage design development, and support new business opportunities within a growing international business.

• 5–10 years’ experience in a mechanical project management role.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing project delivery end-to-end
• Managing commercial performance alongside the Project QS
• Coordinating procurement of subcontractors, plant and materials
• Driving safety, compliance, and quality on site
• Issuing weekly project progress reports (incl. RFIs, procurement status, critical issues)
• Overseeing design development and value engineering
• Chairing project meetings with design teams and subcontractors
• Maintaining strong client relationships and supporting new business opportunities

The Opportunity

As Mechanical Project Manager, you’ll take full ownership of assigned projects – ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll lead a team of site managers, engineers, quantity surveyors and specialists, coordinating resources and driving performance throughout the project lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and managing project delivery end-to-end

• Driving safety, compliance, and quality on site

• 5–10 years’ experience in a mechanical project management role, ideally within M&E contracting

• Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills

• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability

• High attention to detail and a commitment to safe delivery

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Fluency in English is essential
