Job summary

NeoDyne is recruiting a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our expanding engineering teams in Cork. The two-year programme focuses on learning and developing skills with placements on real projects.

Qualifications

• Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, Energy Engineering, or equivalent.
• 0-2 years' experience in a similar mechanical design role or work placement.
• Full Irish driving license or to be achieved within 12 months of starting the role.
• Strong understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit or similar.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Design: support the design of mechanical systems for industrial, manufacturing and critical infrastructure projects.
• Equipment & Engineering: assist with equipment selection and calculation, pipe sizing and pump sizing.
• Drawings & Documentation: develop and review drawings, P&IDs, equipment specs and datasheets.
• Multidisciplinary Projects: collaborate with mechanical, electrical, automation and instrumentation engineers.
• Site & Commissioning: visit customer sites for surveys, installation, testing and commissioning.

Position summary

NeoDyne are recruiting a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our expanding engineering teams. Our graduate programme is all about learning new and developing your existing skills. Over a two-year period, you will be placed in projects where you get to do meaningful work and contribute to the business.

This Graduate opportunity is offered as a full-time permanent contract, based at our Cork Office, with an excellent salary and benefits package. What might I be doing?

• Mechanical Design: Support the design of mechanical systems for industrial, manufacturing and critical infrastructure projects, including equipment layouts, piping and utility systems.
• Equipment & Engineering: Assist with equipment selection and specification, and carry out mechanical calculations such as pipe sizing, pressure drops and pump sizing.
• Drawings & Documentation: Develop and review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, equipment specifications, datasheets and technical documentation.
• Multidisciplinary Projects: Work alongside mechanical, electrical, automation and instrumentation engineers to deliver coordinated engineering solutions.
• Site & Commissioning: Visit customer sites to support surveys, installation, equipment inspections, testing and commissioning, gaining hands-on experience of bringing designs into operation.

Experience & skills

Required
