Job summary

NeoDyne in Cork is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join the System Integration team on a two-year programme. You will be placed on real projects from day one, contributing to design, testing and commissioning while developing your skills and professional certification goals.

You’ll work on HV/MV electrical design, grid-related studies, and protection coordination using advanced software, with travel to customer sites and a strong People First culture driving your development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering or equivalent.
• 0-2 years' experience in a similar electrical design role or work placement.
• Full Irish driving license and car, or must be obtained within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Engage in HV/MV electrical design, power generation, PLC/SCADA automation, control logic programming and panel design.
• Utilise state-of-the-art engineering software for protection design and substation layouts.
• Travel to customer sites for installation, testing and commissioning as part of the graduate programme.

Position Summary

NeoDyne are recruiting a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our expanding System Integration team. Our graduate programme is all about learning new and developing your existing skills. Over a two-year period, you will be placed in projects where you get to do meaningful work and contribute to the business.

This Graduate opportunity is offered as a full-time permanent contract, based at our Cork Office, with an excellent salary and benefits package. What might I be doing?

• Projects could include HV/MV electrical design, power generation, PLC and SCADA automation, control logic programming, control panel hardware design, and site testing & commissioning.
• You will have the opportunity to use state-of-the-art engineering software for control and protection design and substation layouts. You will also get to use leading-edge power system modelling software to run steady state and transient electrical studies, including short circuit studies, protection coordination and grid compliance studies for proposed renewable generation.
• Generating technical documentation and dealing with customers will also be key parts of our graduate programme to help develop your soft skills. You will also have the opportunity to travel to customer sites to get involved in installation, testing, and commissioning.

Required

Experience & skills

• Level 8 Degree in Electrical/ Energy Engineering, or equivalent.
• 0-2 years' experience in a similar electrical design role or Work Placement.
• Full Irish driving license and car, OR must be achieved within the first 12 months of employment.

Desired

• 0-2 years' experience in a similar manufacturing process improvement role or Work Placement.
