Job summary

Anord Mardix in Dundalk, Ireland, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop 3D CAD models of switchboards and related equipment. You will produce production-ready drawings and assist production and testing teams with design issues, collaborating across engineering disciplines.

The role offers mentoring, diverse project exposure, and a hybrid work setup. A 3rd level degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, with proficiency in Inventor/Vault and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• 3rd level degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical design of electrical equipment is advantageous.
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills with precision.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D mechanical designs of switchboards and related products for production.
• Ensure controlled, accurate shop floor drawings and documentation.
• Support Production/Test with design issue resolutions.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineering leads on standard drawings.
• Travel to client sites for surveys when required.
