Marketing Supervisor Reports To: Operations Manager & Directors

Location: Walker Hearing Clinics (across clinic locations, plus events/expos as required)

Job Purpose: The Marketing Supervisor is responsible for planning and delivering Walker Hearing Clinics' marketing activity each month, creating content, running digital advertising, managing the website and email marketing, representing the clinics at events, and reporting on results, in order to build brand awareness, generate patient enquiries, and support the clinics' growth targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation
  • Build the month's content calendar — Plan social posts, blog topics and email content around the month's themes, offers and awareness dates.
  • Write and publish blog articles — Hearing health tips, product/technology explainers, patient stories, local clinic news.
  • Create social media posts & graphics — Facebook, Instagram and Eurostaffs content — a mix of educational, promotional and behind-the-scenes.
  • Update testimonials & case studies — Collect and publish new patient testimonials and success stories (with consent).
  • Capture photo/video content — Build a content bank from in-clinic visits, staff and events for future use.
  • Plan seasonal/awareness campaigns — e.g. Deaf Awareness Week, Better Hearing & Speech Month, Age Action Week — align content and offers.
Shows & Expos
  • Research upcoming shows and expos — Health, wellness, and 50+/senior lifestyle events suitable for the clinics.
  • Book stands at selected events — Secure exhibitor space, confirm costs and event details.
  • Plan and set up exhibition stands — Stand design, banners, table layout, transport and setup logistics.
  • Organise staff rota for events — Brief and schedule staff to cover the stand.
  • Follow up on event leads — Log and follow up with contacts gathered at each event, within a week.
Marketing Stock & Materials
  • Review stock levels — Check brochures, leaflets, business cards, banners and giveaways across all locations.
  • Design and order printed materials — Update and reorder materials as offers, pricing or branding change.
  • Coordinate branded merchandise — Order giveaways/promotional items for events and patients.
  • Restock branches — Ensure every clinic location has adequate marketing materials on hand.
Website Management
  • Review and update website content — Services, staff bios, current offers and testimonials kept accurate and current.
  • Check site functionality — Test booking/contact forms, check for broken links and page load speed.
  • Publish blog posts & update SEO metadata — Add new content with optimised titles, meta descriptions and headings.
  • Update Google Business Profile — Keep hours, photos, posts and offers current for each clinic location.
  • Review on-page & local SEO performance — Check rankings, indexing and local search visibility.
Google Ads
  • Review and optimise active campaigns — Check performance, pause underperforming ads/keywords.
  • Monitor budget vs. spend — Track spend against target and adjust bids/budgets accordingly.
  • Refresh ad copy and keywords — Test new ad variations and expand/refine keyword lists.
  • Review search terms report — Identify and add negative keywords to cut wasted spend.
  • Launch new campaigns for offers — Set up seasonal or promotional campaigns as needed.
Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
  • Review and optimise active campaigns — Check performance by audience and placement, pause underperformers.
  • Monitor budget vs. spend — Track spend against target and adjust as needed.
  • Test new ad creative & copy — Refresh imagery, video and messaging to avoid ad fatigue.
  • Launch new campaigns for offers/events — Build campaigns around promotions, expos or seasonal themes.
  • Refresh audience targeting — Update custom and lookalike audiences.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Compile Google Analytics (GA4) report — Traffic, conversions, top sources and on-site behaviour.
  • Compile website performance report — Enquiries, bookings generated, bounce rate, page performance.
  • Compile Google Ads report — Spend, clicks, conversions, cost-per-lead by campaign.
  • Compile Meta Ads report — Spend, reach, engagement, conversions by campaign.
  • Present findings & recommendations — Summarise results and next steps for management/team.
Email Marketing
  • Plan and design the newsletter — Content, offers and layout for the monthly send.
  • Segment email lists — Patients, prospects and referral partners kept in separate, targeted lists.
  • Send newsletter & monitor results — Track open rates, click rates and unsubscribes.
  • Manage automated email sequences — Welcome, follow-up and reactivation flows kept current.
  • Clean the email list — Remove bounces and honour unsubscribes.
GDPR & Data Compliance
  • Confirm consent forms are active — Website and paper forms include clear marketing-consent checkboxes.
  • Review Privacy & Cookie Policy — Update as tools, vendors or data uses change (quarterly review).
  • Maintain data retention schedule — Review and delete data no longer needed per policy.
  • Process access/unsubscribe requests — Log and action any subject access or opt‑out requests promptly.
  • Audit marketing lists for valid consent — Confirm every contact on marketing lists has given consent.
  • Review healthcare advertising compliance — Hearing aid/device marketing may be subject to additional advertising standards (e.g. ASAI code, medical device rules) — flag for periodic legal/compliance review.
Reputation & Reviews
  • Monitor and respond to reviews — Google and Facebook reviews responded to promptly and professionally.
  • Request reviews from patients — Ask recently satisfied patients to leave a review.
  • Track ratings across platforms — Keep a record of review volume and average rating over time.
SEO & Local Search
  • Track keyword rankings — Monitor organic search visibility for key terms.
  • Maintain local listings/citations — Ensure business details are consistent across directories.
  • Pursue backlink/partnership opportunities — Identify local sites, health directories or partners for links.
Referral & Community Outreach
  • Maintain referrer relationships — Keep in touch with referring GPs and other health professionals.
  • Distribute materials to referral partners — Send updated brochures/info packs as needed.
  • Engage local community/press — Pursue local paper, radio or sponsorship opportunities.
Budget & Admin
  • Track marketing spend vs. budget — Review actual spend against the monthly/annual budget.
  • Review supplier/agency performance — Check invoices and performance of any external marketing suppliers.
  • Plan next month's marketing calendar — Set priorities, offers and content themes ahead of the new month.
Competitor Monitoring
  • Review competitor activity — Check competitor offers, ads and social media presence.
KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in a marketing role, ideally in healthcare, retail, or another appointment-led service business
  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager
  • Comfortable with website content management systems and basic SEO principles
  • Confident writing content for blogs, social media, email and print
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4) and comfortable building simple performance reports
  • Understanding of GDPR and data-protection requirements as they apply to marketing
  • Well organised, able to manage multiple ongoing tasks and deadlines each month
  • Comfortable representing the clinic in person at events, shows and expos, including occasional travel
