Job summary

Abbott Ireland, Finisklin Road, Sligo, is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead the operations manufacturing team. You will drive product quality, production efficiency and customer service levels while ensuring EHS and GMP standards are met.

The role requires a third-level qualification in science or engineering, plus around 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing healthcare or pharmaceutical setting, with a focus on continuous improvement and Lean leadership.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in science or engineering.
• 3 years staff supervisory experience in manufacturing healthcare or pharmaceutical.
• Supervisory course preferable.
• Experience in a quality-controlled environment advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the manufacturing team to meet service, quality and cost objectives.
• Ensure safety standards and safe-working practices are adhered to.
• Ensure GMP procedures are followed and maintained.
• Motivate employees and foster teamwork to support continuous improvement.
• Carry out performance appraisals and identify training needs.
• Maintain training records up to date and compliant.
• Optimize the use of human resources through open communications and involvement.
