Job summary

Abbott in Ireland is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to lead a production team at the Sligo site. The role focuses on achieving product quality, production efficiency and customer service levels while ensuring adherence to EHS and GMP standards.

The successful candidate will hold a science or engineering degree with at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. A supervisory course is desirable to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in a Science or Engineering related discipline.
• 3 years staff supervisory experience in a manufacturing healthcare or pharmaceutical environment.
• Supervisory course is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the manufacturing team to meet service, quality and cost objectives.
• Demonstrate use of metrics to track performance against goals.
• Ensure safety standards are met and GMP requirements are maintained.
• Adhere to procedures and maintain training records for direct reports.
• Motivate employees and build teams to support continuous improvement.
• Optimize use of human resources and foster open communication and teamwork.
