Job summary

Abbott in Ireland seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead and develop a multi-disciplinary engineering team, assuring GMP compliance and optimal equipment performance. You will drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and coordinate reliability strategies across packing lines.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and extensive hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, with a focus on safety, quality, and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in engineering and maintenance, including at least 3 years as a manager.
• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision & motivation to the engineering team.
• Ensure quality, GMP compliance and audit readiness across the department.
• Manage the maintenance and budget planning for packing and related assets.
• Drive asset care and reliability through planned maintenance and KPIs.
• Lead project controls, cost management and scheduling for factory projects.
• Ensure compliance with all quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
