Job summary

Abbott Ireland in Clonmel is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee production areas, maximize productivity and ensure GMP compliance. You will coordinate labor, materials, equipment and tooling to assemble products and maintain traceability.

The role requires NFQ level 7 or equivalent and 6+ years in related work; includes supervising staff, developing processes and maintaining safety and quality standards under SOPs and MPI.

Qualifications

• NFQ level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline and 6+ years of related work experience.
• Monitors progress of exempt individuals, teams, supervisors or nonexempt technical individuals toward departmental goals; monitors costs of projects and of human and material resources within a department or unit; monitors external environment in area of technical or professional responsibility.
• Promotes attainment of group goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable staff; provides leadership to assigned units by guiding others toward objectives.

Responsibilities

• Implements a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements and coordinating the selection process with HR.
• Develops direct reports by securing training and conducting performance reviews.
• Monitors daily work operations and provides guidance to supervisors and staff to meet unit goals.
• Interacts with internal and external customers and explains procedures.
• Interprets and executes policies affecting work processes and personnel.
• Contributes to development of operational policies and procedures affecting personnel.
• Monitors compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Monitors internal indicators by reviewing reports and newsletters.
• Contributes to area budget development and monitoring.
