Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is hiring a Manufacturing Reliability Technician in Limerick, Ireland. You will resolve systemic manufacturing equipment issues, improve reliability and support IPC projects across current technologies.

The role requires technical discipline, data-driven problem solving, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include improving lens production processes, publishing troubleshooting materials, and driving cost and technical improvements.

Qualifications

• Level 6 Diploma/Certificate in a technical discipline is required.
• Experience as a process technician or in a related manufacturing role is required.
• Level 7 or 8 engineering qualification is desirable.
• Familiarity with equipment validation in an FDA-regulated environment is preferred.
• Subject Matter Expert on 2–3 core technologies is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to apply scientific and data-driven problem-solving to improve productivity and yield.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and support design, installation and improvement of lens production processes and equipment.
• Edit and publish troubleshooting documentation and training materials for materials and equipment.
• Apply analytical problem-solving to equipment improvements.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop troubleshooting methods for equipment and processes.
• Identify and lead cost and technical improvements under Intrinsic Process Capability program.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting on project activities.
• Maintain Credo & Behavioural Standards culture within the group.
• Support implementation of engineering and plant strategic initiatives.
• Minimize Environmental and Health & Safety impacts of work.
