Independent Search Solutions Ltd in Co. Mayo is seeking a Global Manufacturing Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams through development, execution and commercialization of new devices.

You will define integrated project plans, manage budgets and risks, and drive manufacturing transfer to global sites. The role requires hands-on leadership of engineering, operations, quality and supply chain, with experience in DOE, IQ/OQ/PQ, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in mechanical/engineering/science with strong project management capability.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and design controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional and cross-geographical teams to achieve project deliverables and business objectives.

My client who develops a range of consumable Medical Device products used across healthcare; has an expanding range of Devices coming out of Development which need to be Manufactured at scale for distribution globally.

I am looking for Manufacturing Engineers who can Leads cross-functional teams in the Development, Execution, and Commercialization of New Products, Technologies, Equipment at my clients’ established facilities.

You will need to have a track record of rolling out new equipment for the Manufacture of regulated Products and have exceptional Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Management experience.

Based on-site at my clients County Mayo facilities some international travel will be required to their other Manufacturing Sites.

Role:

The Project Manager leads cross-functional teams in the development, execution, and commercialization of new products, technologies, equipment, and process improvements. The role is responsible for defining integrated project plans, managing budgets and risks, coordinating resources, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This position partners with engineering, operations, quality, and leadership teams to deliver compliant, efficient, and cost-effective project outcomes while supporting continuous improvement and organizational strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional and cross‑geographical teams to achieve project deliverables and business objectives
• Develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and ROI assessments
• Coordinate project activities across engineering, operations, quality, suppliers, and other stakeholders
• Manage risks, identify gaps, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success
• Lead technical scope definition, including process concepts, specifications, validation plans, and acceptance testing
• Oversee process development, characterization, and testing using DOE and statistical tools
• Coordinate equipment and process qualifications (IQ, OQ, PQ) and support manufacturing transfer
• Communicate project status, milestones, and interdependencies to leadership and stakeholders
• Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, internal partners, and senior leadership
• Provide mentoring, guidance, and support to team members and contribute to organizational capability building
• Participate in capacity modelling, strategic planning, and cost‑reduction initiatives
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and design control requirements
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects requiring strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
• Ability to interpret technical data and assess implications for design, manufacturing, and commercialization activities
• Frequent communication, presentation, and collaboration across all organizational levels

Experience:

• Third Level Degree (Hon) in Mechanical / Engineering / Science
• Project Management Qualification a plus
• 5-8 Years commercial experience in a Regulated Manufacturing role (Preferably Medical Device Industry)
• Experience with Automated Production Equipment, DOE methods, and Statistical Analysis Tools
• Demonstrated experience in Process Development, Equipment Qualification, and Design Controls
• Proven ability to manage and lead multi-functional teams to drive success of a project
