Job summary

Parker Stewart Ltd. in Longford, Ireland is hiring a Manufacturing IT Specialist to support MES and production-critical systems on the shop floor.

This is not a helpdesk role; it sits at the intersection of manufacturing and technology, ensuring systems stay up and compliant. You will work with Engineering, Operations, Technicians and Quality teams, handling first/second-line IT support, device deployments, and cybersecurity/compliance tasks on site.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting IT infrastructure within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of MES platforms and industrial network environments.
• Degree, Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networking, printers and end-user devices.

Responsibilities

• Support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and production-critical applications with Engineering and Operations.
• Provide first and second-line IT support for manufacturing and engineering teams (hardware, software, connectivity).
• Support and maintain manufacturing PCs, laptops, thin clients, printers, barcode scanners and handheld devices.
• Manage and troubleshoot network-connected printers and shop-floor printing infrastructure.
• Support remote access solutions, user accounts, Active Directory and device management.
• Deploy, configure and upgrade IT hardware/software across manufacturing areas.
• Maintain IT asset records and support cybersecurity, compliance and audits.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and technology upgrade programmes.
