Job summary

Pale Blue Dot® Recruitment is seeking a Financial Controller for a growing medical device manufacturing company based in Bray. You will lead the finance function, report to the Managing Director and partner with the senior leadership team in a hands‑on SME environment.

Key duties include monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, year‑end tasks, ERP improvements and robust product costing. You’ll develop the finance team and strengthen internal controls to support growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CPA credential.
• At least five years’ post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
• Experience in manufacturing or regulated environments (e.g. medical devices).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance and product costing.
• ERP experience covering BOMs, routings, standard costing, inventory and profitability analysis.
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and reporting packs.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and manage month-end close and financial reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and treasury management.
• Coordinate annual audit and statutory financial statements.
• Maintain internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Improve ERP processes and product costing models.
• Provide financial and commercial analysis to support pricing and investments.
• Develop and coach the finance team; liaise with operations, engineering and logistics.
