Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in manufacturing/mechanical/industrial engineering.
• Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Knowledge of CAD and ERP systems.
• Experience with Lean Sigma and continuous improvement.
• Ability to solve problems independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Improve efficiency of manufacturing processes with the Engineering Team.
• Implement ECOs and New Product Development into manufacturing.
• Establish JIT practices to reduce work in progress.
• Manage new part configuration, open orders, routing and BOM updates.
• Support ECO process with stock disposition and BOM verification.
• Ensure risk assessments are thorough and maintained.
• Investigate LTI and safety incidents and improve safety practices.
• Develop SOPs reflecting safe working practices.
• Design transport stillages and packaging to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Use CAD to create detailed designs for stillages and containers.
• Analyze material flow to improve ergonomics and safety.
• Select materials and processes considering cost, durability, sustainability.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering(RnD), Purchasing, Quality.
• Communicate improvements and performance metrics to stakeholders.
