Job summary

Hanley Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement and optimize scalable assembly processes across our global operations. You will lead lean initiatives, develop routings, work instructions, and documentation, and ensure transfer of proven methods to the US facility for a successful production ramp-up.

Your role requires strong problem solving, collaboration with engineering, operations and quality teams, and the ability to travel between Irish sites and the US as needed to

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 8 or master’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, including configure-to-order or design-to-order.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, process optimization and quality control.
• Proficient with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulations.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and update manufacturing routings with process steps and resource needs.
• Ensure routings align with engineering specs and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to optimize routing efficiency and minimize costs.
• Conduct time studies to determine process times and resources.
• Maintain documentation of processes, routings, work instructions and quality plans.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Drive lean continuous improvement across operations and support US ramp-up.
