Job summary

Weltec Engineering is seeking a qualified Management Accountant to support the finance function in Ireland. You will deliver accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis across a growing international organisation.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role offers broad exposure to the business and opportunities to develop technical, leadership, and commercial skills within a dynamic team.

• Qualified accountant with PQE of at least 2 years in accounting roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate variances and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and KPI dashboards.
• Analyse financial performance and identify trends, commercial risks, and opportunities.
• Monitor overhead expenditure against budget and investigate variances.
• Contribute to annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Provide financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Review accounts payable, receivable and payroll processes.
• Ensure financial records are complete and accurate.
• Review, develop, and improve financial procedures and systems, implementing process enhancements and automation opportunities.
• Assist with payroll reviews and reconciliations.
• Support compliance with Revenue requirements, VAT, PAYE, RCT, and Corporation Tax obligations.
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany recharges.
• Support consolidated reporting requirements across group entities.

Role Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the finance function through the delivery of accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and commercial analysis. Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Key Skills and Competencies:

• ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA qualified.
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in a financial accounting, management accounting, or similar role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, or multinational environments.
• Experience working with Sage or a comparable ERP system.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes.
