Job summary

Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare, County Kerry, Ireland, seeks an experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our on-site Maintenance team under the Property Manager. The role covers a wide range of tasks across a luxury hotel, estate and grounds, requiring practical, proactive individuals with strong problem-solving skills.

You will maintain the hotel systems, equipment and spaces to high standards, carrying out preventative maintenance, repairs, and general improvements tailored to hospitality needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in plumbing or general maintenance.
• Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, boilers, generators, and painting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and general maintenance across the property.
• Repair and replace equipment and components as required.
• Monitor equipment and building systems for efficient operation.
• Plumbing, pipework installation and general repairs.
• Painting and decorating.
• Repairs to roofs, gutters, windows and doors.
• Carpentry, flooring, plaster and drywall repairs.
• Support the wider Maintenance team with the ongoing care and presentation of the hotel and estate.
