Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join an established on-site maintenance team at a prestigious, hi-profile visitor attraction and corporate events venue in Dublin 8.
This is a permanent, site-based opportunity for a hands-on technician with a strong background in general building fabric maintenance and some plumbing experience.
Working alongside the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the building, facilities and guest areas are maintained to a high standard, supporting the smooth operation of a busy, event-driven environment.
With visitor activities and corporate events taking place seven days a week, flexibility is essential. The role operates on a 5-day working week across 7 days, with a rotating weekend commitment of approximately 1 weekend in 5.
Carry out general building fabric maintenance, repairs and upkeep across the site.
Undertake minor plumbing repairs and maintenance, including addressing leaks, replacing fittings and resolving general plumbing issues.
Respond to maintenance requests and reactive repairs, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and safely.
Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across the building.
Work closely with the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams to ensure the effective operation of the site.
Maintain high standards across guest-facing areas, event spaces and back-of-house facilities.
Identify potential maintenance issues and take a proactive approach to repairs and building upkeep.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordancewith health and safety procedures and site standards.
Previous experience in a maintenance technician, building maintenance or facilities maintenance or caretaker role.
Strong practical skills in general building fabric maintenance and repairs.
Some plumbing experience, with the ability to carry out minor plumbing repairs.
A good understanding of building maintenance and safe working practices.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider maintenance team.
A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to work a rotating 5-day schedule across 7 days.
Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on maintaining a high standard of service.
Salary of €55,000–€60,000, depending on experience plus overtime / double time rates
