Job summary

Perform Recruitment is recruiting a Maintenance Co-ordinator for a growing food manufacturing business in County Cavan, Ireland. The role supports the engineering and maintenance team, focusing on stock control, purchasing, and administration to ensure smooth maintenance operations.

The successful candidate will manage stock records, maintain CMMS, and coordinate supplier activities while collaborating with the Engineering Manager and contractors to uphold equipment reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
• A good standard of education, including English and Mathematics, or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a stock control, purchasing, inventory, or administration role would be an advantage.
• Good IT skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet targets, and work to strict deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining records and processing orders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good negotiation skills and confidence when dealing with suppliers.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinating supplier enquiries, purchase orders, pricing, and deliveries to ensure materials arrive within agreed timeframes.
• Setting up and maintaining a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Creating and maintaining stock codes, minimum and maximum stock levels, and replenishment values for spare parts and consumables.
• Raising, processing, and maintaining purchase orders for the maintenance department using internal systems.
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing, negotiate terms, and resolve purchasing queries.
• Co-ordinating with contractors regarding mobile plant servicing, breakdown cover, and maintenance schedules.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records, including job cards, service records, and weekly inspection documentation.
• Ensuring maintenance paperwork is logged and updated accurately, with any issues reported promptly.
• Supporting stock control activities to ensure essential maintenance materials and consumables are available when required.
• Providing general administrative support to the engineering department, including filing, emailing, and record keeping.
• Working closely with the Engineering Manager, maintenance team, suppliers, and contractors to support efficient operations.
